Module 2 Lesson 6: How to avoid critical language errors in your research paper

If you have ever received peer reviewer comments suggesting that your manuscript should be revised by a native English speaker, this course is for you. Authors whose native language is not English often become anxious when peer reviewers comment that their papers need to be revised or rewritten for better readability and clarity. In this course, you will understand which common problems in writing are the most obvious to a peer reviewer and why. We will explain through examples how you can minimize these problems and how to use some simple tools and resources.

This course will take about 4- 6 hours to complete. At the end of the course, you will also be eligible for a certificate provided you correctly answer five of eight questions in the final assessment. The assessment consists of eight multiple-choice questions. To be eligible for the course certificate, you have to answer five of the questions correctly.
